Book a visit with multiple professionals
Visits with several professionals lets customers book one visit made up of services performed by different professionals. The services run one after another, in the order the customer picked them, and Taimli finds a start time where every professional is free. The setting is off by default and lives in Settings > Booking & availability, in the Booking Settings panel together with your other booking controls (see Smart scheduling guide).
Turn on visits with several professionals
Turn the toggle on when customers should be able to book services that no single professional performs as one visit. Each professional's own calendar settings apply to their part of the visit.
Go to Settings > Booking & availability and open the Booking Settings panel.
Turn on Visits with several professionals.
Choose how long a customer may wait between two professionals with Longest wait between services: No wait, 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 hr, 1 hr 30 min, or 2 hr. The default is No wait. A longer wait offers customers more start times.
Save your changes.
The wait selector appears only while the toggle is on. Turning the toggle off later keeps the wait value you saved, so turning it back on restores it.
How the customer books the visit
The booking flow adds one professional step when the selected services need different professionals.
The customer selects the services on your booking page. Each service card opens a details dialog where they pick a variant and select Add.
On the Choose your professionals step, the customer picks a professional for each service. The page explains that the services are done by different professionals, one after another. Each service lists Any available professional, which is the default, plus the professionals qualified for that service. Customers can mix the two, for example a named professional for one service and Any available professional for another.
The customer picks one start time for the whole visit under Choose a time. Start times appear only when every professional's availability lines up.
The customer submits the booking.
The professional step appears only when you allow customers to choose a professional and at least one selected service has more than one qualified professional. Otherwise the customer goes straight to time selection and the professionals are assigned automatically. Customers can only pick professionals who can perform the service (see Managing Staff Capabilities).
When one professional covers everything
If one professional can perform every selected service, the booking follows the normal single-professional flow even when visits with several professionals is on.
With the setting off, a customer who picks services that no single professional offers sees These services can't be booked together, with the message that no single professional offers all of them. They can remove a service or book the services as separate visits.
Waits between services
Parts run back to back when the professionals' schedules allow it. When they don't, Taimli places a wait between two parts, up to the longest wait you allow, and only when a wait is needed for the next professional to fit.
Each wait shows as its own line, such as Wait 30 min, wherever the visit is listed. The wait counts from the end of the previous part for the customer; a professional's own buffer time does not become wait for the customer.
Where customers see each part
The visit is one booking with one start time, and every part is listed in order.
Booking details page: an ordered list of the parts, each with any wait, its start and end times, the professional's name, and that part's services. The date and time at the top cover the whole visit.
My bookings: one row for the whole visit. Opening it shows the parts (see How customers use My bookings).
Calendar invitation: the Google Calendar link and the downloaded calendar file cover the whole visit, with every professional, each part's services, any waits, and the full time range.
Confirmation and reminder messages
Default customer confirmation, pending request, declined, canceled, rescheduled, and reminder emails list every part of the visit under a Your visit heading: the time, the professional, the services, and any wait. Reminder emails say the visit is coming up and show its time. Bookings with a single professional keep their existing email format, and SMS messages do not use the visit-part wording.
When the visit ends, the standard thank-you email names the professionals in visit order and is sent from the salon's name. See Email and SMS appointment notifications for how the message types and delivery settings work.
What your staff see
Each professional involved receives their own notification. It shows the complete visit and marks the recipient's own part as Your part. This covers new bookings, pending booking requests, cancellations, and customer-unreachable notices. One copy also goes to the salon email when Also send worker booking notifications to the salon email is enabled. In the calendar, each part appears in its professional's column.
What visits with several professionals don't cover yet
Customers can't join the waitlist for a multi-professional visit.
Appointments you create yourself with New Appointment in the calendar are always single-professional. A multi-professional visit is created by a customer booking online, and you can manage its parts in the calendar afterwards.
