Viewing waitlist requests
Salon staff can review the customers waiting for an earlier appointment in the salon waitlist and book a customer directly from an active request. The page shows active requests only: you search, review the request details, create a booking, or add a matching calendar opening and let Taimli notify the customer automatically.
Open the waitlist
Select Waitlist from the admin navigation. You can also reach the same page from Insights: in the Waitlist impact section, click View waitlist.
The waitlist page opens with the customers currently waiting for an earlier appointment.
What the waitlist shows
Each row lists the customer's name and email, the requested services, the worker (or Auto-assign or Unassigned), the preferred times, the status Waiting, and when the customer joined. Entries are limited to your salon, and requests whose preferred dates are all in the past are not shown.
Search by name or email
Type a customer's name or email into the Search by name or email box to narrow the list. Results are ordered newest first.
Who sees which requests
Owners, admins, and staff with salon-wide Insights access see every waitlist entry for the salon. Other workers see only the requests assigned to them.
Book a customer from the waitlist
Create a confirmed booking straight from an active waitlist request, without opening the calendar first. Booking needs permission to book from the waitlist; staff who can only view see the requests as read-only rows.
Click the customer's row in the waitlist. The Book from waitlist panel opens with the customer's name and email.
Under Preferred day, choose the window to book. This choice appears only when the request has several preferred windows; each option shows the date and its time range, or All day.
Under Available time, choose a slot. Only slots that are bookable right now and match the request's services, worker, and preferred windows are listed, each with its date, time, and worker name.
Under Notify customer, the Booking confirmation switches for Email and SMS are both on by default. Turn either off to skip that confirmation for this booking.
Select Create booking.
The panel closes and the waitlist page shows Booking created from the waitlist. The booking uses the request's services, customer details, and worker, and the request is marked as booked, so it no longer appears in the active list. The customer receives the confirmations you left enabled.
The selected slot is rechecked when you create the booking. If it is no longer available, the panel shows That time is no longer available. Choose another slot.
If no slot matches the selected day, the panel shows No open slots match this request yet. Add availability in the calendar, or pick another day. Add an opening in the calendar, see Calendar Overview, or choose another preferred day. To instead let the customer pick from the new times themselves, create the opening and let Taimli notify them automatically.
