Calendar Overview
The calendar is where you manage your salon's schedule, set when you're available for bookings, and track all appointments. It's designed to prevent double-bookings and give you full control over your time.
Understanding Your Calendar
Your calendar starts completely blocked. No one can book you until you open specific time slots. This protects you from unwanted bookings and gives you control from day one.
The calendar shows a weekly grid view with dates across the top. Each day displays:
Sun icon — Work day with availability set
Moon icon — Free day with no availability
White blocks — Open time slots where clients can book
Colored blocks — Appointments, personal time, or work events
What You Can Do
The calendar lets you:
Set your working hours and open time slots for bookings
Create and manage appointments manually
Block time for breaks, meetings, or personal activities
View your schedule or see all workers side-by-side
Move and resize appointments by dragging
Reassign appointments between staff members
All changes save automatically. You don't need to click a save button.
Quick Actions
Use the blue + button in the bottom-right corner to quickly create:
New appointment — Book a client manually
New availability slot — Open a specific time block for bookings
Personal event — Block time for personal activities
Work event — Block time for breaks, meetings, or admin tasks
You can also drag directly on the calendar to create items, or click date headers to set working hours for an entire day.
Navigate with your keyboard
You can move between weeks with the keyboard instead of clicking the arrows. Press the Left or Right arrow key to go to the previous or next week. When the month popup is open, the same keys change the month. The shortcuts pause while a menu or dialog has focus.
Calendar hours
The calendar shows a set range of hours each day, 07:00 to 22:00 by default for new salons. You can change it under Settings > Booking & availability (see Choose the hours shown on your calendar). Appointments outside the visible hours stay saved and reappear when you widen the range.
Next Steps
Start by setting up your availability so clients can book you. See Setting Up Your Availability.
